we got two kitties?

Sure did. Off of Craig’s List. They are brother and sister, about 9 months old. Have already had their “operations.” The lady we go them from had a couple of dogs who weren’t being very nice to the kitties.

They already had names, Emily and Alex. Definitely not what I would have picked. I was lobbying for Max & Ruby, but Emily and Alex stuck for Daniel immediately. Except when he says their names, it comes out “Emily” and “Tex.”

Daniel loves the kitties soooooo much. He kind of spazzes out sometimes and gets frustrated when they run away from him, but it’s so cute. He shows the kitties his cars and says, “Oh, Kitty, I love you.”

I kind of felt like these kitties were meant for us. Another brother and sister set. Their age is just right — big enough to hold their own or know to run away from the boys. And when I went to check them out, I was surprised to realize that they were living at a house right around the corner from the emergency vet hospital where we took Willy and where Willy died. We hadn’t even been to that town since we went to the vet hospital with Willy in October 2004.

The kitties are very sweet and laid back. Emily constantly lays around and lets Daniel pick her up and carry her around. Alex is a little more circumspect. I’ll post some pics when I figure out how to use my new camera.
