Taking perfectionism to a whole new level.
March 28, 2006In order to further my perfectionistic tendencies, I sometimes think about what being a mom must have been like in “colonial” times, like I would really know. Heh. How did they deal with diapers? How did they keep their babies warm? How did they deal with babies pulling up on everything and learning to walk? How did they deal with babies putting every speck of anything they find on their floor in their mouths? How did they deal with being in the house all day long? I would have been a sucky colonial mom/housewife, etc.

I think about this a lot too! Though, for me it’s coming more from a natural living standpoint - like not having plastics & formula & stuff like that.

Mel, I totally do that, too. How on earth did people survive without PLASTIC?!

yeah, let me tell you, I’ve been saving glass jars to put leftovers in because I get a little icked out by all the plastic tupperware stuff sometimes, and I’ve broken more glass lately :-X
Also, they’re hard to store - they’re big jars, you know? And not stackable…
